It’s so nice to meet you!

Hi. My name is Kelli. I'd much rather be chatting with you over a latte, but this will have to do.

My love of photography started when we were planning our wedding and it grew into an obsession once we had kids of our own. Determined to have photos that we still liked 25 years in the future, I took some classes and learned how to use my camera. With time, I am developing a photographic style of my own.

I take pictures because I don't want to forget the day to day things that happen in the life of my dear ones, and if you've been clicking through my blog, you are likely to feel the same. Yes, I want to document the big events that we experience- birthdays, holidays, the arrival of a new baby, etc., but I also want to remember the seemingly mundane daily-ness of family life. It's the laundry, spraying the hose in the backyard, pillow fights, walking around the block and snuggling quietly before a bedtime story...

In 25 years, this is what I will most want to remember.

Hello 2011

It’s a new year! I’m excited for all that this year will bring, especially some great things for my business. I have a few workshops to attend in the next months and I am looking forward to learning all that I can from some amazing photographers. More on those as the dates come closer.

We had a great time celebrating the holidays with my family coming to visit from Los Angeles. The boys especially loved having their great-grandma to play with for a week.

I have one last photo to share- it was the last of my mini-sessions for the holidays. Isn’t this little one darling! She’s just learning to walk, and is so proud of it. I love the family’s tree in the background- just dreamy!

The Rose Family – Holiday Mini Shoot

I met up with the Roses over the weekend for a quick mini shoot. Mom Laura had one request- get a picture of both kids together. As a mom of two myself, I know this is so hard to do! I love the one we got…

Mini-shoots are a great way to snap a few family photos without booking a full session with me. The cost is $75. I will spend 30-45 minutes with your family and will give you ten images to select from our time together. These images will not be fully edited, just a few adjustments of saturation and contrast. Holiday Mini-Session

Tony and Missy are friends of ours from church. We’ve enjoyed getting to know them and look forward to spending many more fun evenings with them and their sweet little guy, Brett. Fresh Start

I took photos of this family as they were celebrating moving into their new house! It’s been several months since they have been displaced, looking for the perfect home and I believe they have found it.

Rachael is busy getting settled because in a few short weeks, she will welcome another baby! I’m sure you will see pictures of him on this blog when he arrives. I can’t wait to get my hands on another tiny newborn!

Here are a few favorites from their session. I love this little guy. He was all giggles during our session.

I was absolutely delighted with this last photo. I think the family is going to enlarge it, possibly on a gallery-wrapped canvas. Just perfect!!
